Why YouTube Shorts Have a Traffic Spike and then FAIL
Feb 6, 2023
Why do YouTube shorts have a huge spike and then fail? Good question! I think it has to do with the retention graph!
You see, when your short is first posted, it's sent to your subscribers and people within your niche, however, once it's put onto the #shorts shelf, it is spread to a wide audience.
My theory is my shorts videos are only interesting to people in this "make money online" space. If I want a successful short, I need it to be interesting to EVERYONE, not JUST bloggers and online marketers.
I'm not sure how this will affect my shorts in the future. I'm still playing with it and hopefully, I figure it out. I'd love to get a short to 100k+ views. That would be AWESOME. It's also a pipe dream lol.
